Youth Summer Camp (ages 8-14)

The Summer Youth Camp is a 4 day program that runs Monday through Thursday from 9am-1pm. Curriculum is based on a progression of skill and knowledge in the following learning objectives: Floor exercises and stretching, basic climbing skill and technique, rope and gear management, belaying, climber communication, group dynamics and initiatives, and of course plenty of experiential learning along the way.  Participants will engage in bouldering, roped climbing, yoga, strength training, outdoor initiatives and games, slack lining, and more.

Gravity Groms Summer Program (ages 4-8)

The Gravity Groms Summer Program meets twice a week for three consecutive weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00pm-3:30pm. Gravity Groms focuses on instilling a sense of accomplishment and fun in the sport of climbing while teaching a basic progression of hard and soft skills including warm ups and floor exercises, climbing techniques, safety and risk awareness, team work and group initiatives, technical climbing skills, communication skills and of course lots of experiential fun. Activities will include, bouldering, roped climbing, slack lining, games, initiatives and more.

Summer Senders (ages 12-18)

The Summer Senders program meet twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00pm-4:00pm. This program is geared towards motivated older adolescents (12-18) who are interested in leveling up their climbing ability and technique. Climbers can expect to advance their climbing skill and technique, build strength, gain confidence and of course, engage in plenty of experiential learning and fun along the way. Participants will engage in bouldering, roped climbing, yoga, strength training, outdoor initiatives and games, slack lining, and more.

3 Day Teen Gym to Crag Course (ages 12-18)

In this collaboration between Gravity Lab and San Juan Expeditions, teens learn how to apply climbing skills, technique and communication skills in an outdoor climbing setting. Learn the necessary skills and familiarize yourself with the gear and technique needed to safely climb at our local Durango Crags.

Day 1 - Orientation, skill building, rope management and climbing technique. 8am-1pm at Gravity Lab

Day 2 - Advanced skills and outdoor climbing etiquette at a local Durango Crag. 8am-1pm location TBD

Day 3 - Level up your climbing and push your abilities with more advanced climbs and ongoing application of skills and learnings. 8am-1pm location TBD
