Upcoming Clinics & Courses

Breaking Boulders 7/16 6pm-8pm

  • Every boulder can be broken apart into a series of positions and moves. Once you understand them, you can start putting the send together. In this one hour workshop, we'll cover how to find the right position on difficult moves, how to apply different movement styles to a sequence, and how to put hard moves back together into a cohesive plan.

  • We recommend that you climb V3 before attending this workshop.


Gripwork Free Workshop 7/18 5:30pm

No one ever said "my fingers are too strong for this route." In this one hour workshop, we’ll cover strength training concepts for climbers, including
basic grip positions, finger anatomy, how to intelligently apply load to the fingers and some finger training myths. 

We'll also outline and practice simple, effective finger strength protocols to integrate into your weekly training to build those steel tendons we're all after. 

Open to climbers of all levels!  


Lead Climbing Gym to Crag Clinic 7/18 - 7/19

This Adult Lead Climbing Gym to Crag Clinic is designed to teach you the skills and techniques to safely and independently lead climb outside. 

Participants will learn essential techniques to sport lead climbing and lead belaying. You will have the opportunity to practice catching and taking lead falls. We will focus on restful clipping stances and how to avoid improper clips, like “backclipping.” This is a great class for climbers interested in moving towards leading sport climbs outside, as we will review basic anchor set-up, cleaning practices and lowering as well. Some basic experience and skill is required for this course. Participants must have knowledge and proficiency in basic tie in knots and belaying.  

Day 1 at Gravity Lab from 9am - 1pm - Skill learning and practice

Day 2 with Lifeways Guides 9am - 2pm at a local outdoor climbing crag. Applying skills learned from day 1 in outdoor climbing setting. 


Gym to Crag Clinic 8/15-8/16

In this two day Gym to Crag Course. Gravity Lab and Lifeways Guides collaborate to bring you a course designed to help climbers learn the skills and knowledge base to safely and independently climb outside. 

Day 1 at Gravity Lab is a classroom setting with lessons focused on gear knowledge, anchor building, cleaning and lowering off of anchors, belay and lead belay techniques, safety and risk management skills, climber communication and more.
Day 2 with Lifeways takes you outside to one of our local climbing areas. Learn to apply the skills and techniques to confidenlty climb outside. 


Lead Climbing Clinic

Bouldering and Movement Clinic

The Bouldering Movement Clinic is a great way for new climbers to learn about and improve upon the sport of Bouldering. Join us and get personalized coaching around proper warm up and ground exercises, climbing technique, bouldering etiquette, safe falling technique, footwork and climbing movement and much more.

Climbing 101 Clinic

Learn everything you need to know about getting started in the sport of indoor climbing. This course will help you gain the knowledge and competencies necessary for safe bouldering and top rope climbing. Specifically, you will learn about the required gear such as climbing harnesses, belay devices, ropes, shoes, etc. You will gain skills in figure eight knots, proper belay technique, climber communication, catching falls and controlled lowering. This course will set you up to pass our top rope certification and for you to climb confidently and safely in any climbing gym.

Maximum Attendees: 6

60 minute course

$45 per participant (includes day pass and rental gear)
